Custom Group Tours

We offer customized tours for groups of 10 or more people. Two architectural wonders designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, his first home and studio and the Frederick C. Robie House, are just minutes from downtown Chicago. Spend a day experiencing these National Historic Landmarks and their architecturally rich neighborhoods. Groups must purchase advance tickets for private custom tours. All tours are led by trained guides. Please allow a minimum of 1-1/4 hours for each custom tour. We encourage you to book early so that we may better accommodate your plans.

Note: As Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House enters the final phase of an historic decade-long restoration, the icon of modern architecture will undergo a significant acceleration to the restoration construction to prepare for the home's 100th anniversary in 2010.
To accommodate the magnitude of the interior restoration construction and maintain a safe guest environment, custom tours will be offered at the Robie House on Saturdays, 9:30 am to 2 pm only from November 1, 2008 through October 31, 2009.

Custom School Groups

The Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust is pleased to serve young people as part of its educational mission. To properly provide for school groups, we request that local and in-state schools schedule their tours for Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of any week during November, December, January or February.

Rates per student: Single tours- $5 per student (grades K-5) and $10 per student (grades 6-12). Combination packages - $10 per student (grades K-5 and $15 per student (grades 6-12).

School groups must provide at least one adult chaperone for every 15 students. Required chaperones are admitted free of charge. Admission for additional chaperones is charged at $10 per adult for single tours and $18 per adult for combination packages.
